Pre-Press Proofs - Kodak SWOP - Portland, Maine

As part of our pre press proofing capabilities, we can make Kodak SWOP proofs. We produce SWOP-certified proofs at letter-bleed and tab-bleed sizes. Image resolution is 1800 ppi and final print is at 120, 133, 150, 175 LPI. We add a SWOP color bar with grey-balance patches to all proofs. Our standard turnaround is 24 hours. If you require quicker turnaround, please try to give us a heads-up so that we can plan.

SWOP proofs are required by most national publications. The Kodak Approval, in addition to being SWOP certified prints with a conventional halftone dot.

You may supply your PDF file for imaging to SWOP proof, or supply your original source files. We will perform a quick preflight on the file before imaging just to make sure that there are no press-stopping errors present like RGB or low-res images. If you supply source files and would like a PDF file for your publication, let us know and we can produce that for you as well. Ideally, the proof should be produced from the final PDF file, if one is required.
